Brett Studer has been a Registered Acupuncturist since 2005, and in 2006, he graduated as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He has completed internships at the Guang Xi University of TCM in Nanning China (specializing in TCM for difficult conditions) and Anhui University of TCM in Hefei, China (specializing in TCM for post-stroke rehabilitation). And he has also has been certified as an Acupuncture Detox Specialist (ADS), with time spent working in the Vancouver Detox centre.
Brett enjoys working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds with a special interest for digestive issues, pain relief, and stress reduction. In addition to his clinical practice, he has served on the board of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of BC and the East-West Medical Society. During your initial consultation, Brett will sit down with you to gather relevant information regarding your current imbalance or chief concern. This will entail specific questions regarding your health history, as well as sensory observations, tongue inspection and taking your pulse.
This process allows the opportunity to better understand your constitutional tendencies and your current presentation. From here we are able to create a treatment plan, which may include one of or a variety of the TCM modalities.
